Nigerian rapper, Falz, don dey speak out on the ongoing beef him dey have with social critic, VeryDarkMan. In a recent interview with media personality, Adesope, Falz address the allegations wey VeryDarkMan make against am and him papa, Femi Falana.
Falz say him no know much about VeryDarkMan’s activism before the whole drama start. Him talk say, ‘I don’t know much of it, prior to the first video he shared talking about me and my dad. I hadn’t seen much of him. What I had seen was some stuff about people that didn’t have NAFDAC numbers and selling products and at the time when I saw some of those clips, I was like this person must be doing something right, this is a good course. Asides that, I haven’t seen much of his work.’
VeryDarkMan accuse Falz and him papa of bribing EFCC and manipulating justice, and even claim say Falz get homosexual relationship with Bobrisky. Falz say these allegations make am feel terrible because dem no get any proof to back dem up. Him say, ‘Absolutely no proof. Why would you just come and allege all these things with absolutely nothing to support this statement?’
Falz reveal say him lawyer don write to Bobrisky, and Bobrisky admit say no money change hands. Falz say, ‘So now you have to defend yourself because he who alleges must prove. I have gone to court for defamation of character because clearly that is what this is.’
A High Court don order VeryDarkMan to take down the video where him make the allegations, but VeryDarkMan no comply. Falz say, ‘In my defamation suit, I am going to ask for damages because that is the only remedy available in a civil suit. I would have you know that there is a criminal angle to defamation. I chose not to go that route. He could very well have been arrested.’
Falz also talk about how VeryDarkMan tell am to sue am in court during one phone conversation. Him say, ‘He said to me shebi you are a lawyer, go to court This person in my opinion wanted the litigation.’
