DELSUTH Don Get Accreditation For Surgery Department

Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH) in Oghara don receive national and West African accreditation for their Surgery department. Dis news come out during a press briefing by Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, after a meeting with Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, senior officials of the teaching hospital, and representatives from the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).

Dr. Onojaeme talk say the hospital dey work hard to get accreditation for other departments too, including Internal Medicine, Radiology, and Community Medicine. He praise the Governor for his support, saying that just a month ago, the Governor approve the purchase of a CT scan for the hospital. More equipment like echocardiography machine and MRI scanner dey on the way.

The Acting Chief Medical Director, Dr. Awunor Nyemike, Acting MDCAN Chairman Prof. Jude Uchendu, and NMA State Chairman Dr. Israel Adaigho all thank Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to improving hospital services. The meeting end with the presentation of a plaque to the Governor to recognize his dedication to the hospital and the community.

The hospital’s internally generated revenue don increase significantly, and dis help dem to fund some of the accreditation processes. DELSUTH dey set to become one of the top medical institutions in the region, offering advanced healthcare services and contributing to the state’s health sector growth.
