Court Don Order UNILAG, OAU make dem no admit 2025/2026 students

Enugu, Nigeria – For the matter wey don hot like jollof rice, Federal High Court wey dey sit for Enugu don order say University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), plus Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), make dem hold their horses on all admission processes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The judge wey scatter ground for this matter na Justice A.T. Segun-Bello.

The whole matter start when some candidates, including Chibuzor Success, Oyeleye Zainab Ayomide, Adedeji John Samuel, Monsura Aliat Aduragbem, and Bassey Daniel Nsikak, come file wetin dem call ex-parte motion on behalf of their fellow candidates wey dey prepare for 2025 post-UTME examinations.

Dem actually ask the court to serve interim injunction wey go stop the universities and JAMB from releasing any admission list for dis new academic session. And dis Justice Segun-Bello no gree small o! E yarn say the case get “veritable and triable issue”—na correct legal grammar wey mean say matter get level and e need both sides to show face.

As the judge dey reason am, e also talk say all dem parties fit maintain status quo. That one mean say everybody go hold their side till dem hear proper hearing wey dey come up on October 28, 2025. So, no admission wahala fit happen until den. Na 2025 we dey talk, e be like say dem go need extra time to settle matter wey don boil for some time now.
