Anambra State Dey Evacuate Residents As Flood Water Rise

Anambra State government don begin dey evacuate residents wey dey live for areas wey be prone to flooding. Dis decision come as water levels dey rise and flood warnings dey issued by relevant authorities.

According to reports, dey alert 362 communities across de country, including those in Anambra, say dem should prepare for heavy flooding. De National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and de National Flood Early Warning Systems Centre, under de Federal Ministry of Environment, warn say heavy rains go cause serious flooding in de Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and 22 other states.

De Anambra State government no wan wait till de flood catch dem unawares, so dem start de immediate evacuation of residents from de flood-prone areas. Dis move aim to save lives and reduce de impact of de impending flood.

Last month, several parts of de North, especially Maiduguri, de capital of Borno State, suffer from severe flooding. De government had to ration water for households to enable dem repair damaged water facilities and networks.

De situation dey very serious, and de government dey urge everyone to take necessary precautions and follow evacuation orders to avoid any loss of life.
