Dr Dawari George, wey be former Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources under former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, don officially rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.
George, who also serve as a member of the House of Representatives, leave APC in 2022 to join the Action Alliance party. Under the Action Alliance, he contest as a governorship candidate in the 2023 election.
When he leave APC in 2022, George tell reporters say he dey “hungry for service.” Now, he don return to the APC and receive warm welcome from the National Chairman of the APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, and other members of the National Working Committee at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
Although George no address the media after his meeting with the party leadership, the APC issue a brief statement to confirm his return. The statement read, “Dr Dawari Ibietela George, the Rivers State 2023 election governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, has returned to the progressive family. He was received today by the National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and other members of the National Working Committee at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.”
