Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, de prepare to experience another blackout as the transmission station for the area de under maintenance. This development come at a time when the country’s power sector de face multiple challenges, including frequent grid collapses and partial disturbances.
According to reports, the maintenance work on the transmission station will affect power supply in Abuja and possibly other surrounding areas. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and the electricity Distribution Companies (Discos) have informed their customers about the impending shutdown to enable the necessary maintenance work.
This is not the first time Abuja and other parts of Nigeria are experiencing power outages. Recently, the national grid collapsed multiple times, causing widespread disruptions in power supply across the country. The TCN has been working to restore power and stabilize the grid, but the recurring issues highlight the fragility of Nigeria’s power infrastructure.
