Lagos Assembly Dey Wait for Report on Model College Fee Hike

Lagos State House of Assembly don wade into the matter of the recent fee hike for boarding schools in the state. The fee hike, which increase from N35,000 to N100,000 for the 2024/2025 session wey start on September 15, 2024, don cause plenty protest from parents.

The House of Assembly set up a panel to investigate the matter and dey await the report from the Education Committee before dem take any further action. The panel suppose to submit their report within one week.

Parents wey no happy with the new fees don protest, saying the increase too much and dem no fit afford am. The intervention of the Lagos State House of Assembly aim to find solution to this problem and ensure say education no dey out of reach for many students.

The Education Committee dey work hard to gather all necessary information and make recommendations based on their findings. Once dem submit their report, the House of Assembly go determine the next steps to take.
