Popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, wey people know as Bobrisky, don dey Alagbon Police custody after him fail to escape Nigeria through Seme Border. According to reports from Vanguard and Premium Times, Bobrisky was arrested by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Sunday while him dey try to leave Nigeria unnoticed.
The arrest happen at midnight when Bobrisky give him passport to someone to stamp for am, but the immigration officer identify am immediately and ask am to come down from the vehicle. Him was detained until morning before dem transfer am to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.
Bobrisky’s attempt to escape Nigeria come at a time when him dey under investigation by the House of Representatives, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Correctional Service over allegations of bribery. A leaked audio recording by social media influencer, Martins Ortse, aka VeryDarkMan, show Bobrisky claiming to have paid EFCC officials N15 million to drop money laundering charges against am. Bobrisky has denied the voice in the recording as his own.
Currently, Bobrisky dey detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) annex in Alagbon, Lagos State, where dem dey prepare to get remand to keep am in custody. The NIS confirm say Bobrisky na person of interest and dem go hand am over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
An investigative panel also reveal that there no evidence to show that Bobrisky sleep outside Kirikiri prison during him six-month jail term, contrary to what him claim in the leaked audio recording.
