De Nigeria Immigration Service don arrest popular social media personality, Okuneye Idris, wey people know as Bobrisky, after dem catch am at Seme border while him dey try to leave Nigeria.
According to statement from NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, Bobrisky na person of interest because of some issues wey dey concern public. Dem say him dey undergo interrogation and dem go hand am over to relevant authorities for further action.
Bobrisky’s trouble start from April 2024 when court sentence am to six months in prison for naira abuse. But people talk say him no spend all him time for Kirikiri Prison, and say him get special treatment, including furnished single cells, humidifier, and visits from family and friends. This make people suspect say bribery dey involved.
In September, social media influencer VeryDarkMan post audio recording wey allegedly show Bobrisky say him pay EFCC officials N15 million to drop money laundering charges. Bobrisky deny say him no make such claims and say VeryDarkMan should be held responsible.
Bobrisky also face allegations say him claim Falz and him papa, Femi Falana, ask am for N10 million to get presidential pardon. Falz and Falana issue cease-and-desist letter, demanding apology for defamatory statements. Bobrisky deny all these claims.
Now, Bobrisky dey face investigation from House of Representatives, EFCC, and Nigerian Correctional Service over bribery and influence-peddling allegations. Him fail to show up for questioning by House of Representatives.
