One big legal battle dey pose serious threat to the construction of the new N102 billion Lekki airport project. The issue arise because of an existing agreement between Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited and the government.
According to reports, if the project go ahead as planned, it will be in violation of this agreement. Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, the company managing the Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA2), claim say they have an exclusive right to operate the only airport in the Lagos area.
This legal tussle could lead to significant delays in the completion of the Lekki airport, which is a major infrastructure project aimed at boosting economic activities in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
