Today, governors wey dey under de platform of de Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don call for a meeting with de acting National Chairman of de party, Amb Umar Damagum, and de National Working Committee (NWC). Dis meeting dey come at a time when de party dey face serious crisis.
De crisis wey dey rock PDP no be small thing, as some big wigs inside de party dey show allegiance to de ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose, and de Minister of de Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, don openly declare their support for APC candidates and leaders.
Bode George, former Deputy National Chairman (South-West) of PDP, don express him disappointment over dis development. He say Fayose and Wike dey degrade PDP before de Nigerian voting public. George talk dis when he appear as guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday.
George say if Fayose truly reject PDP and decide to work for APC governor, den he don define him direction. He suggest say de party should investigate dis matter within Ekiti State. On Wike, George say he no agree with what Wike dey do, but he believe say de crisis can still be resolved.
De meeting between de governors, Oyinlola panel, Damagum, and NWC dey aimed at finding solution to de ongoing crisis and how to realign de party for better performance in future elections.
