Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) don confirm say dem arrest social media personality, Idris Okuneye, wey people know as Bobrisky. Dis arrest happen on Monday morning at Seme border, one place wey dey near Badagry, Lagos State, and dey serve as major crossing point between Nigeria and Benin Republic.
According to NIS, Bobrisky dey try to flee Nigeria when dem intercept am. In a statement wey dem release on Monday evening, NIS say Bobrisky be person of interest over recent issues of public concern. Dem add say he dey undergo interrogation and soon dem go hand him over to appropriate authorities for further action.
Dis arrest come after plenty controversy surround Bobrisky. In April 2024, Federal High Court in Lagos sentence am to six months in prison for naira abuse. Though he suppose spend six months in Kirikiri Prison, reports come out say he spend only three weeks there before dem move am to private location. People talk say his early release and special treatment na because of bribery, with accusations of N15m payment to officials.
Recently, social media influencer VeryDarkMan post audio recording wey allegedly involve Bobrisky, claiming say music artist Falz and his father, Femi Falana, approach am for N10m to secure presidential pardon. Bobrisky deny dis claim, saying he no responsible for de leaked content and urging Falanas to hold VDM accountable instead.
