The Federal Government of Nigeria has made a strong commitment to bring an end to the ongoing clashes between farmers and herders in Plateau State. This vow was made by the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, in a recent statement.
According to Badaru, the federal government is fully committed to resolving the long-standing conflicts that have plagued the region. The minister emphasized the need for peace and stability, highlighting the government’s determination to find a lasting solution to the issue.
The farmer-herder clashes in Plateau State have resulted in significant loss of life and property, causing widespread concern and instability in the area. The government’s intervention aims to address the root causes of these conflicts and to establish a framework for peaceful coexistence between the two groups.
The Minister of Defence also called for cooperation from local communities and stakeholders to support the government’s efforts in restoring peace and security in the region.
