Nigerian Customs Service don dey make big money, as dem generate N4.28 trillion as revenue for the first nine months of 2024. Dis figure dey come from the report wey the Comptroller General of NCS, Bashir, release recently.
According to the report, the revenue collected between January and September 2024 surpass the previous years, showing say the efforts of the Customs Service to increase revenue collection dey yield result.
One of the commands under the Nigerian Customs Service, the Port Terminal Multiservices Limited Command, also disclose say dem collect N239 billion in revenue for the same period. Dis show say different commands dey contribute significantly to the overall revenue generation.
The high revenue collection dey attributed to the strict enforcement of customs regulations, improved compliance by importers and exporters, and the use of advanced technology to monitor and track imports and exports.
