Daniel Dubois, the current IBF Heavyweight World Champion, don dey talk tough ahead of him potential rematch with Anthony Joshua. In one interview with BoxNation, Dubois say him ready to show the world say him be the king of the heavyweight division.
Dubois tell BoxNation say Joshua go have plenty demons playing on him mind. “Who knows if people dey talk am into it; I no know. But from my side, I dey ready to go out there and show the world say I be the king,” him say.
This rematch dey planned to happen in February as part of the Riyadh Season, a big festival of entertainment and sports events wey dey run from October to early March. Dubois and Joshua first fight happen in September at Wembley Stadium, where Dubois knock out Joshua in the fifth round in front of 98,000 fans. This defeat send shockwaves through the boxing world, with some people questioning Joshua’s future in the sport.
If the rematch no happen with Joshua, Dubois say him want to avenge him defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, if Usyk beat Tyson Fury in their rematch in December. “That’s unfinished business. I want to get that one right. I want to do it properly and finish him. It will be a good fight, a unification fight; that’s massive,” him explain.
