This advice come as the Federal Government dey grapple with issues like the recent collapse of the national grid, which happen for the third time in one week. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) say an explosion at the Jebba transmission station cause the latest grid collapse, but dem don restore power in 33 states and the Federal Capital Territory already.
The World Bank’s advice also align with the need for more disciplined management of the national grid, as discussions dey ongoing to transfer the management to Independent System Operator under the Electricity Act 2023.
