Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission don declare All Progressives Congress (APC) as winners of the 2024 Local Government Elections wey hold on October 19, 2024.
According to the Commission’s Chairman, Hajiya Mohammed, APC win all the 23 local government chairmanship positions and the 255 ward councillorship positions across the state.
The elections see eight political parties participate, including ADC, AAC, APGA, LP, NNPP, PDP, PRP, and YPP.
Hajiya Mohammed commend the people of Kaduna State, especially the voters who come out in their numbers to exercise their democratic franchise. She say the elections be peaceful and orderly, with only minor issues reported in three polling units and wards.
Governor Uba Sani also express satisfaction with the conduct of the local government elections, noting that the turnout across the 23 local government areas be satisfactory. He urge voters to remain peaceful, reminding them that in every election, there are winners and losers.
The local governments wey APC win include Birnin-Gwari, Chikun, Igabi, Ikara, Jaba, Jema’a, Kachia, Kaduna North, and Kaduna South, among others.
