Former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, don talk say integrity dey scarce for Naija. Him make dis statement when him dey address students for the matriculation ceremony of MIVA Open University in Abuja on Saturday.
Osinbajo emphasize say even though integrity pays, e dey hard to find people wey get integrity for the country. Him say people wey get integrity dey in high demand, and even thieves dey look for dem to help manage their stolen money.
“If you borrow money, you should pay it back. Don’t make promises you can’t fulfil. Integrity pays. It is getting scarcer. It’s becoming more difficult to find people of integrity. So, it is in demand,” Osinbajo say.
Him also talk about the future of education, saying that micro-education fit displace university degrees soon. Osinbajo explain say adaptive learning platforms wey use artificial intelligence fit design coursework that meet the specific needs of every individual student.
“Now and in the future, what we will teach and how we will teach will never be the same again. This change is motivated by the type and quality of employees that the market wants today and that the market will take for granted tomorrow,” him add.
Osinbajo call for the evolution of teaching methods in schools, saying that employment criteria now focus more on solving real-life, multifaceted problems. “Teaching methods and resources are changing and must continue to evolve, thereby creating an increasingly personalised form of education,” him say.
