Arsenal defender William Saliba dey in hot water after him receive red card during Arsenal match against Bournemouth on Saturday, October 19. The incident happen around the 29th minute of the game when Saliba drag down Bournemouth forward Evanilson, denying him a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
The referee, Robert Jones, initially give Saliba yellow card, but after VAR review, him change am to red card. VAR official Jarred Gillett recommend on-field review, and after Jones check the replay on the pitchside monitor, him decide say Saliba’s foul be last-man violation.
The foul happen just outside the center circle, and since no other Arsenal defender dey near to cover, Saliba’s action leave Evanilson with a clear run to the goal. This decision mean Arsenal finish the match with 10 men, and it be the third time dis season dem lose a player to red card.
