Youths for Ogbomoso don announce say dem go protest today, Saturday, over the way Federal Government dey neglect Oyo-Ogbomoso express road.
The protest, wey dem tag #OperationFixOgbomosoRoadNow, go start from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Takie Junction, Ogbomoso. One of the coordinators of the protest, Peter Adekunle, share dis information with *Saturday PUNCH*.
The youths say dem dey protest to alert authorities about the bad condition of the road. The road don cause many accidents and deaths because e no dey good again.
The road connect South to North, and according to the youths, dem don write many letters to the authorities, but nothing don happen yet.
The statement from the youths partly read, “These past few weeks have been the worst in the history of the road conditions. About 20 people die, and there has been a gridlock of heavy-duty vehicles, with a series of goods and animal deaths. Most vehicles take about five days for a 15 km journey, and this has not only impaired the economy of the city but is making life unbearable for us.”
