Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, don arrest three people wey dem suspect say dey dey collaborate with terrorists for Taraba State. Dis arrest happen on October 15, at Landey Jessy village in Lau Local Government area of Taraba.
According to Captain Olubodunde Oni, the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, the operation was carried out with precision and intelligence. Dem act on intelligence reports of some bandits in Kona Range of Mountains, which cut across Jalingo and Lau Local Government areas.
During the investigation, one of the suspects confess say his house dey use as hiding place for their weapons after operations. Another suspect was identified by a victim he try to kidnap at Iware in Ardo-Kola Local Government sometime in September.
The suspects are currently in custody undergoing further investigation. The Nigerian Army say dem remain committed to protecting lives and property, as well as preserving the nation’s territorial integrity.
The Army urge the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies as dem work together to rid the country of terrorism and other forms of insecurity.
