Yunus Musah and Ricardo Pepi score the goals for the USA. Musah, who play for AC Milan, score the first goal in the 49th minute after a nice pass sequence from his teammates. Ricardo Pepi, who play for PSV, add the second goal deep in stoppage time.
The win mark the end of a four-game losing streak for the USA and give dem their second victory in their last eight matches. Pochettino, who just start his job as coach last week, use dis game to introduce his new coaching style and tactics to the team.
Despite missing some key players like Tyler Adams, Tim Weah, Folarin Balogun, and Gio Reyna, Pochettino still manage to get a good performance from his team. Matt Turner, the goalkeeper, make some crucial saves to help keep the lead, including two big saves in quick succession in the 52nd minute.
Pochettino say after the game that it was a professional performance and a good start to the process of improving the team before the 2026 World Cup. The USA will next face Mexico in another friendly on Tuesday in Guadalajara.
