Team Asue Media Organisation, the media arm of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo, has debunked claims that Ighodalo is considering running for the Senate. This denial came in response to an article circulating in the media that suggested Ighodalo was preparing to contest for a Senate seat in the upcoming Esan Central by-election.
Erhabor Emokpae, the coordinator of Team Asue Media Organisation, described the claim as baseless and a futile move to hoodwink the public and distract Ighodalo and the PDP from their ongoing efforts. According to Emokpae, Ighodalo has not expressed any interest in pursuing a senatorial bid and has not initiated any discussions with party leaders or stakeholders regarding the by-election.
