DAILY POST gather say Adelabu sister dem kidnap am plus her twin sons for early hours of Wednesday for Ibadan, Oyo State capital. The woman wey dem abduct na Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, while her twin sons dem call Peter and Paul. According to information, the incident happen when the woman dey on her way to drop the twins for school.
As at the time of this report, their whereabouts no know. Effort to get reaction from the Police Public Relations Officer for Oyo State, Olayinka Ayanlade, no succeed. But a media aide to the former minister, Femi Awogboro, confirm the incident. Awogboro say dem don report the matter to police.
For a statement wey dem release on Wednesday morning, Awogboro say, “The family of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, former Minister of Power and leading gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, wishes to formally confirm the unfortunate kidnapping of his younger sister, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, alongside her twin sons, Peter and Paul, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Ibadan. The abductors also forcefully took away her 12-year-old twin sons who were with her at the time of the incident.”
Awogboro further explain say Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul na the youngest of the five children of Mrs Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke Adelabu. Until her voluntary retirement last year, she don serve at Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian. After retirement, she relocate to Ibadan with her children while making preparations to join her husband, Mr John Paul, wey don earlier relocate to United States.

We appeal to the public to remain calm, avoid speculation and support ongoing efforts with prayers,” the statement add.
