President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don nominate Mr Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as Minister of Power. The president spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announce this one for statement on Thursday. He say the nomination don go to Senate for screening and confirmation according to Constitution.
This nomination come after former Minister Adebayo Adelabu resign from office to pursue elective office. Tegbe wey come from Oyo State na fiscal and economic reform expert with over 35 years experience for public and private sectors.
He be former Senior Partner and Head of Advisory Services at KPMG Africa. For there he lead wide-ranging initiatives for fiscal policy reform, institutional transformation, and governance. He also advise key government institutions and private sector organisations on strategic reforms, regulatory frameworks, and investment structuring.
Right now he be Director General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP). For that role he dey responsible for strengthening bilateral development cooperation between Nigeria and People Republic of China. The NCSP also coordinate engagements with public sector stakeholders to advance economic and social development according to FOCAC objectives.
President aide Olusegun Dada share the announcement on X. He say the nomination don go to Senate for screening and confirmation. Tegbe experience include significant engagements within power sector, especially for regulatory and institutional reform involving agencies like Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company (NBET).
