Kwankwaso join ADC, but one faction warn am say follow due process

Na serious gist dey ground for political arena as former Kano State governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, don officially jump enter African Democratic Congress. But as dis big move dey happen, one faction inside ADC don raise voice say make Kwankwaso follow proper channel if e truly want join.

Kwankwaso, wey be big fish for New Nigeria Peoples Party before, collect im ADC membership card yesterday for one ceremony wey gather plenty crowd for Kano. Top big men like David Mark, wey be National Chairman of ADC, and former Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal dey there. Even Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and other former governors show face.

But as celebration dey go on, one group wey dey call themselves “authentic” ADC under Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe don send warning. Dem talk say dem respect Kwankwaso well well, but dem no too like how e dey associate with some people wey dem call “political power mongers.” Dem talk say ADC no be market wey dem go sell.

Gombe talk say: “We dey appeal to Kwankwaso make e reconsider im move. If e truly want join ADC, make e go through proper registration channel. Except say e get hidden agenda.” The faction warn say those people wey Kwankwaso dey move with no get respect for democracy and no get sympathy for poor people.

Meanwhile, the main ADC body don welcome Kwankwaso with two hands. National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi talk say Kwankwaso na “game-changer” wey fit help redefine Nigeria politics. Dem talk say since Kwankwaso join, membership registration don increase up and down Nigeria within 24 hours.

David Mark talk say Kwankwaso’s decision show say Nigerians dey look for credible alternative platform. “This move dey show say people don tire for old style politics,” Mark yarn. Kwankwaso don already direct all im supporters across Nigeria to register with ADC.

For another corner, one APC chieftain wey be Mohammed Jamo don talk say if e get power, e go try bring Kwankwaso back to APC. Jamo, wey be National Ex-Officio for APC, talk say dem want everybody for one party. “Even Kwankwaso, if I get way to bring am back to APC, I go do am,” Jamo talk for Channels Television programme.

Political observers dey watch how dis move go affect 2027 elections. Kwankwaso, wey get strong grassroots support for North, fit change game for ADC. But the factional wahala inside ADC dey show say party unity no complete yet.

Some people dey ask if Kwankwaso’s move na genuine search for better platform or just another political calculation. The man himself talk say e dey look for strategic realignment for Nigeria evolving political landscape. But as e dey stand now, all eyes dey on how ADC go manage dis new big catch and the internal disagreements wey dey surface.
