Kano don witness one big political gathering wey dey make plenty people dey talk as former presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, host im fellow big politicians for im house during Sallah homage. The event wey happun on Sunday for Kwankwaso residence for Miller Road, Kano, see presence of Peter Obi (former Labour Party presidential candidate), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State Governor), and Seriake Dickson (former Bayelsa State Governor).
Kwankwaso, wey be former governor of Kano State, thank im supporters from Kwankwasiyya movement and political allies wey gather for the annual tradition. Ahmed Ajuji (NNPP National Chairman) and Bishop Isaac Idahosa dey among the party leaders wey attend. Even African Democratic Congress (ADC) members for Kano, led by Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad and Hon. Musa Ungogo (ADC Kano State Chairman), show face for the event.
As Peter Obi enter the venue, supporters begin dey chant im name together with Kwankwaso own. Many of the supporters wear the signature red caps of Kwankwasiyya movement as dem dey hail the two leaders. Obi address the crowd and clarify say im visit no be for politics but to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr and show respect to Kwankwaso. Today is not politics; it is the celebration of Sallah.”
