GenCos Don Talk Say NLC No Understand Power Matter

Chai! My people, wetin dey happen for power sector no be small wahala o! Lately, di big boys wey dey generate light for Nigeria, wey dem dey call GenCos, don yell out say balancing N6 trillion naira dey hang dem neck like heavy stone.

According to di Association of Power Generation Companies (APGC), dis money wey dem owe for light wey dem supply no be joke. Dem say di tori no sweet for dem side as e dey affect how dem fit maintain equipment, buy fuel, and even expand work wey go fit give us steady power.

Na wetin dem drag Joe Ajaero, di oga for Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). Di man talk say di power companies dey do ‘institutionalised extortion’ but di GenCos no gree swell dem chest that one. Joy Ogaji, di CEO of APGC, come drop statement wey state say NLC dey use simplified talk wey no fit capture di real gbege wey dey inside di power sector. She sed, “We dey face severe liquidity challenges since privatization, e no be small tension wey dey here o!”

NLC dey drop all dis wahala while di GenCos don dey shout say dem no get wahala with any scrutiny. Dem ready to show dem all di books for inspection to clear di air. GenCos dey call for better talk between NLC and industry stakeholders. Dem go like make everybody sit down for table, reason well, and find solution to di wahala wey dey ground. Dem dey push for reform wey go fit help di sector start shine again.
