Omo, Naija politics no dey ever sleep o! E just dey hot for Abuja as PDP chair candidate, Julius Adamu, don waka comot for the Bwari Area Council election. You go believe say he don support APC candidate, Joshua Musa! This matter don spread like wild fire, and everybody dey talk am.
So, last Wednesday for Bwari, na wetin we go call ‘political show’ happen. Nyesom Wike, di FCT Minister wey sabi wetin e dey do, come carry big gbagada go support Adamu as him announce say he no go run again. Wike talk say, “We have agreed that he will stand down for Joshua.” Na so tension rise as people no sabi wetin go happen next.
Adamu talk am clear say him decision no be wetin just happen on top of his head; him sabi say e consult Wike and now, dem be like brothers. E even gree say no go make sense if both of dem come dey fight for di same position. Na so him come dey urge everybody to back Joshua Musa to take di chairmanship.
The election go happen on February 21, 2026, and everybody dey expect some wahala as dem go dey elect chairmen and councillors for six area councils for FCT. Di busy body Independent National Electoral Commission don set date, and dem don clear about 1.68 million voters to participate. E sure say people go turn out as dem wan decide who go hold dem council for ground.
Wike wey don dey do im own thing since he become minister for 2023, don dey shift base small. E no dey follow PDP matter like before again, as e don show say any candidate wey no support Bola Tinubu no go see am at all. Na im clear say him no go apologize for im stance. Wetin you expect? Politics no get friend!
Di wahala of candidates wey no fit hold any position like Labour Party don add more spice to di election matter. E mean say na only PDP, APC, and others dey jost for di elections. People dey talk say Wike dey mix thing too much, but e no send anybody; him dey do him own and e no wan hear any complain.
