As the wahala dey hot, Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) dey rally government make dem come back to negotiation table so everything no go turn sour.
The Chairman for Lagos State chapter, Adelaja Tajudeen, don yarn say this strike na to press for better pay, recognition and fair treatment wey dey long overdue. Him talk am for press conference say if dem no address dis issue, wahala go continue!
JOHESU na big waka body wey dey carry health workers wey no be doctors or nurses, like pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists, and plenty other important people for health sector. Dem no dey play, dem demand for respect and better allowances wey fit make their work life easier. Na so e be, dem talk say e no make sense how some people dey chop retention allowances while others dey manage wahala.
Even though Federal Government don try to show small sympathy by paying January 2026 salaries wey dem hold, Lagos State government still dey drag leg about wetin dem suppose do. Tajudeen don talk am clear say dem wan see real action, no just sweet mouth.
For this matter mean plenty for the people wey dey patronize public health system. Kabiawu Gbolahan wey be Chairman for Medical Laboratory Scientists, Lagos State branch don talk say dem no take this strike lightly, e dey really affect patients wey need care. Dem dey plea make Governor follow talk and no vex for workers wey dey agitate for their rights.
Dem also dey cry say government need pay attention to professional equity. According to am, e no go fit work well when some professionals dey collect better treatment pass others. JOHESU don stress am say dem dey ready to settle this matter once government fit show serious face to resolve am!
