Dis no be Samuel first time dey for Winter Olympics though. He don already show face for Beijing 2022, where he land for 73rd position in men’s sprint free. But e get one time when Covid-19 almost scatter everything for am, wey make him withdraw from 15km classic race. Despite all dis shakara, he still carry Nigeria flag for closing ceremony. That one sweet pass!
For dis Milano Cortina Games, Norway’s Johannes Høsflot Klæbo dey on fire! Di guy no just carry gold for dis event but e don collect two gold medals from two events. E too dey near record of eight Olympic golds wey Bjoern Daehlie hold. Klæbo sharp die as he make sure say everybody know say na him be king for di men’s sprint classic.
Samuel go still dey back on Friday for di men’s 10km interval start free race, but wahala dey as he go meet highly competitive group again. This Olympics, e make am very clear say na only him dey represent Nigeria, and e dey push for the country wey dey collect medals pass for summer Olympics. We never see any medal for Winter Olympics yet, but we dey hope say this time go change.
