For dis new Olympics, we go see am compete for men’s sprint classic on February 8, and den e go dey back again for men’s 10km interval start free on February 13. Na serious competition wey dey await am, as 2,900 athletes from 92 countries go dey fight for medals in 16 sports. Na to wish am beta luck!
Ikpefan dey represent more than himself; he dey carry the hopes of all Naija people wey dey dream sey one day, we go see medal for Winter Olympics. E be like say no be only Summer Olympics wey fit give us medal, abi? Naija don dey enter Winter Olympics since 2018 when we send Seun Adigun and others to bobsleigh. Since then, we don dey grow small small.
For history, Sammy go be the first athlete wey go represent Naija twice for Winter Olympics. E go enter the records as we dey hope sey dis time go be better than Beijing. We never win any medal for Winter Games, abi the only medals wey our country don gather na from Summer Olympics. But with Sammy for our side, who knows wetin fit happen!
