De Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, come out to mouth talk say dem get intelligence report wey show say some bad guys, wey dem don classify as proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria and other gbege agents, dey plan to infiltrate the peaceful protest. Wetin dis mean na say dem fit turn am to wahala and cause serious gbege for di people wey just wan rally their grievances. E no go sweet at all!
As dem dey plan dis protest to show solidarity with di workers for the Federal Capital Development Authority wey dey vex because of unpaid salaries, promotion arrears and poor work conditions, di NLC and TUC no go wan hear say di Police talk say dem fit now change am. According to di joint statement from NLC spokesperson, Benson Upah, and TUC Secretary General, N. A. Toro, dem talk say dis rally go happen for di Federal Capital Development Authority premises.
But dem Police don alert am say if dem no reschedule, di protest fit turn to serious gbege wey go disrupt public peace and cause traffic wahala. Josephine say make dem think am well and avoid any wahala wey go fit affect di daily life of residents. E no sweet to imagine say people wey go just join for peaceful protest go now be part of serious matter wey concern security.
As we dey talk, di FCT workers don dey strike since January 19, and di issues wey dey lead to dis strike no be small matter. Dem dey fight for dem right, and di NLC plus TUC dey ready to back dem in full force. E get as e be na, because di cut don dey enter wire side as dem don carry matter go court sharp-sharp, but di court don order dem to go back to work. Na so wahala dey escalate!
Rally wey go happen tomorrow dey expected say go gather all di affiliates and state councils for di NLC and TUC wey dey in Abuja. Dem dey prepare to show support to di Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) wey dey lead di workers wey dey strike. Na serious matter oh, because as dem talk, an injury to one na injury to all!
