Chai! My people, wetin we dey hear today na serious matter o! E be like say NLC and TUC wan show serious solidarity for workers wey dey face wahala for Abuja. Dem don announce say dem go hold peaceful rally on top February 3 for Federal Capital Development Authority. Na dem talk am for statement wey NLC spokesperson Benson Upah and TUC Secretary General N. A. Toro run drop on Sunday.
Dem confirm say this rally na better way to show say dem dey stand gidigba with dem workers wey dey suffer under unpaid salaries, promotion arrears, and bad working conditions. Na so e be, if one person dey suffer, everybody dey suffer, and for Naija, we sabi say united we stand, divided we fall!
As dem dey prepare for this show of strength, dem don already direct all affiliates dem and state councils to mobilize their members make everybody come out full ground for the solidarity rally. E go bad if your people no show face because dem don stress say full participation go dey highly expected. Na true wahala wey never end and dem no go soft anytime soon until justice come for the workers.
For the statement, dem talk say: “This struggle no be justifiable matter, e dey legit and very necessary! We go carry this struggle till wetin we wan achieve don land.” Dem also assure workers in the Federal Capital Territory say dem no go abandon am. Na serious matter o! No retreat, no surrender!
The unions dey talk true, as dem urge JUAC members to remain hold tight and united against all the pressure wey dey come their way. Any form of intimidation or hardship no go make dem back down; instead, na so dem go push forward because this matter na about justice and respect for their rights as workers.
Last week, the workers of FCT Administration don start strike wey no get end in sight since January 19. Na serious issue this one as dem dey fight for their right and nobody fit stop dem. Meanwhile, FCT authorities don rush go National Industrial Court to complain say the strike dey illegal and dem wan make court pass order wetin go make unions and dem members comot from the strike. But court don tell dem say make all workers return to work!
As we dey talk now, dem unions don already gather fire, and they no wan hear anything wey go stop dem from progressing. The message clear: we go continue this struggle until justice shine light for the workers, and nobody fit bring them down!
