Na wetin happen for Gombe wey dey pain everybody heart! Early Friday morning, accident jam water tanker, Keke NAPEP and two motorcycles for Biu Road Bypass. Na wah o, four people don kick bucket as dem report say accident happen around 8:00 am wey near Dan ’Amar Car Wash.
Yusuf Danbayo, wey be Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters to the governor, carry crowd go the scene. E talk say na five people lost their lives, while some others dey seriously injured as dem rush dem go hospital.
Eyewitness wey dey there talk say na the Keke NAPEP dey go one side when wahala start. The driver of the Keke, Yaya Mohammed, try turn back anyhow, na so the water tanker wey dey come behind ram am for back. The tanker lose control and collide with two motorcycles wey dey come from other side. Chai!
Di tanker na blue and black, registration number na JAL 190 YF, and e dey driven by 22-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed, wey carry three conductors join body. Na serious gbege be this! Di motorcycle riders na Abdullahi Abubakar (24 years) and Adamu Mohammed (27 years). Two other victims as e be, Musa Sulaiman (16 years) and Usman Umar (26 years) dey among di dead. Another male person still dey remain unidentified.
Danbayo don give update about di casualties. E talk say four people don receive their final call: Adamu Mohammed, Musa Sulaiman, Usman Umar, and di unidentified male. Abdullahi Abubakar dey get treatment for Specialist Hospital wey dey Gombe. Kampani don evacuate all victims to di hospital sharp sharp for immediate attention.
Di matter don reach di traffic and security authorities, and dem don start to find out wetin really cause di crash. Danbayo sabi talk say make all road users dey careful, especially for major bypass roads so we no go dey wahala like dis again. Na road wey we suppose sabi, no be so!
