Na so this matter dey frustrating. How person fit shutdown market wey dey feed thousands of people and expect say dem go open am for business later? Stakeholders like his party APGA dey back am cheeky, but seriously, this logic baffle me! E be like say dem wan use shutdown solve the problem wey don already dey ground.
As e be now, when you close down market, you dey cause wahala for traders wey don dey suffer as e be. Na since August 2021 wen IPOB start their Monday sit-at-home, the economy for South-East dey face serious problem. People dey lose money, wey make am hard to chop. Even as security dey improve as Soludo talk, the reality wey dey ground dey show say challenges still dey full everywhere.
For instance, just recently in December 2025, gunmen strike kill at least four people for market area. Na so e be, people still dey fear to go do their business. Soludo dey claim say security don arrange well, but how this one go fit match with daily killings and attacks? Dis matter no add up at all!
Soludo promise say he go restore security since e take office, but wetin don really change? Amnesty International don shine light on serious killings wey don happen since 2021, and dem still dey continue to dey fear all over Anambra. So, wetin dey happen for reality no gree match with wetin dem dey talk for office. Na dis kind wahala fit stop people from making money and make dem fear the government instead of trusting dem.
So, di question wey dey ground, na who dey really responsible for di killings and insecurity wey people dey face? Dem don suppose take action, instead of just dey shut down businesses. Na only so dem go fit really solve di wahala. We need to see real leaders wey go tackle di root cause of di fear instead of just asking people to enter market wey dem no dey feel safe.
People dey talk say dey don normalize di sit-at-home, and some no even dey feel am again. Dem dey use di days to rest and no be to hustle back to markets wey dey dangerous. We gatz remember say for Nigeria, na our constitutional rights dey give us freedom to move and protect our property. Government no fit just say make we enter market when dem know say people dey fear for their lives!
If fear dey stop traders from selling, why we no go fix di root cause instead of making laws wey go force dem? Wetin be di need of forcing people to operate when dem no dey feel secure? Na just to collect tax wey no go even return to help them? Dis one don dey show say accountability and real revenue management dey key to real economic growth.
Soludo dey try talk say Anambra open for business, but if safety no dey, who go fit invest? Na trust and not compulsion go make this economy really rise up again. E go beta make government take time to build confidence instead of enforcing fear on di people.
