Court Don Talk Say FCT Workers Make Dem Calm Down for Strike

Na wah! Na today we see say Justice Emmanuel Subilim wey dey for National Industrial Court don drop order for workers of the Federal Capital Territory to suspend their ongoing strike sharp-sharp, as dem dey wait make dem hear di case wey dey ground.

Dis order no sweet for the ears of di workers wey don dey vex about plenty matter wey their bosses never settle. Dem gree start di strike because di government no dey take dem labour and welfare matters serious. E come be like say dem dey carry dem wahala go court, as Minister Nyesom Wike no wan make dem continue dem strike again.

Justice Subilim come siddon rule say, as di law talk, once dem don carry di matter go court, all industrial action go gats suspend until dem resolve di wahala. Wetin wey sabi as di Trade Dispute Act dey talk, if dem no obey, dem fit collect serious sanctions. So, e mean say peace no fit reign if strike dey continue.

As di level be now, dem don set hearing for March 25, 2026. Na then dem go gather again for court to talk wetin dey happen. Wike don carry di leaders of di Joint Union Action Committee, di JUAC, go court, dem dey try stop dem from picketing or shutting down offices. For dem side, dem gree say wetin dem dey fight for na very important matter wey concern their welfare.

But wahala dey here o! Even though court don give order, di JUAC leadership don come outside talk say dem no go back down. Dem gats continue di strike until dem see real change for di things wey dey affect dem. Na so dem fit carry placards come court dey shout say “Wike must go!” and “Pay us our promotion arrears!” as dem demand their right.

Dis strike don cause major gidi gidi for Abuja, as plenty government offices don dey locked down. Dem don deploy security operatives to control di situation for di FCTA Secretariat as workers dey picket di area. Di protest don dey gather momentum as other unions like di Nigerian Union of Teachers and di National Association of Nigeria Nurses don join di matter.

So, as di wahala dey unfold, we go dey keep our eye on di matter, dey watch how e go take turn out. Na so we go sabi wetin go happen if di court go fit settle di matter before e turn to something wey fit carry serious consequence.
