Dis protest wey happen on Monday, na as a result of di fresh abduction of one woman wey dem dey call Tomiola Oladehinde. Dem carry her go who sabi where, just as di juicy gist dey tell us say na for her own house dem pull their drama. Dem gunmen no just carry her like dat, dem even komot gun and fire for her motor, shot di fuel tank and tyres just to make sure say she no fit escape.
As di matter be, eyewitnesses talk say dem also shoot some neighbours wey try raise alarm. Na so confusion burst everywhere, as everybody dey run like say dem dey play hide and seek. Three persons including one man, one woman, and her small pikin, no fit escape di bullets, dem all carry injury waka go hospital sharp- sharp.
Dis gbege wey land for di community no fit make dem keep quiet. Hundreds of residents quickly gather to block major roads, carrying all kinds of placards like “We say no to banditry” and “Mr Governor, save our souls.” Dem no just talk am, dem sing am loud too, making sure say di whole world dey hear their voice.
One of di protesters, Reverend Johnson Adajah, pull mouth talk sey dem dey plead with di governor and security people to wake up and do something about di situation. E talk say na four residents don suffer attack overnight, one been go missing, and dem gree reside in fear for this their own community. E no sweet at all!
Di police no wan carry last for dis matter too. Abayomi Jimoh, di state Police Public Relations Officer, don confirm di attack dem. E talk say six armed men enter commot like say na dem dey run show, and dem attack John Ofuduwa, who dey drive enter im house, before dem pull Tomiola enter their own motor.
Jimoh still yan say dem promise di community say dem go reinforce security for di area to make sure say dem catch di bad guys wey dem no fit identify yet. E talk sey di Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, go visit di scene on Monday to see wetin happen and talk to di people.
Dis koko don soft di mind of di traditional ruler, Oba Samuel Oluyemi Falae, wey also don put mouth for di matter. E don talk sey e go support di police and make sure sey di community no go dey fear again, and dem go bring di miscreants to book. Na so e gree mobilize di local vigilante to dey help di police catch di criminals.
