Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa don fire warning shot say make all states, housing body and everybody wey get anything to do with building matter support the National Homeownership and Housing Development Campaign wey go kick off for Katsina State on March 4 and 5, 2026.
Dangiwa talk am as him dey yarn during the 14th National Council on Lands, Housing and Urban Development wey dey happen for Ilorin, Kwara State. E say this campaign na big deal wey go connect all the federal programmes with wetin dey happen for state level, make sure say wetin federal dey do no go just remain for Abuja but go reach us for our backyard.
“This campaign na effort wey we all must join hand carry, from governors to developers, so that we fit drive sustainable homeownership for this country,” na wetin Dangiwa talk. E no dey play, because we sabi say housing na serious matter for Naija. People dey suffer, no be small, plenty pipol no get house wey dem fit call home.
The campaign go get two important sessions: Regional Executive Sessions and Public Homeownership Seminars, wey go help connect state governments with federal housing institutions. E mean say those wey dey do housing thing for federal level go fit meet with their counterparts for state level, discuss wetin dem fit do together.
Naija dey face big wahala when e come to housing, with about 15.2 million housing units dey crack. Dangiwa don make am clear say make we no dey hide for our own corner, we suppose work as one united front, no silos o! This one na the time to join hands make housing no go dey struggle again.
