Chai! Na wah o! Fatal road accident don happen for Gombe State wey shake everybody last night.
Two people don confirm say dem don die, while six others dey hospital due to serious injuries. Dis incident happen around 10:20pm for New Mile 3, wey dey near dual carriageway for Gombe.
According to wetin we hear, na heavy-duty truck wey carry bags of rice cause all dis wahala. Dem say the driver no sabi handle handbrake well, as e park am for wrong place. As e no engage the handbrake well, the truck just dey waka go far, collide with Hattara Toyota Hilux.
The Senior Special Assistant on Security, Yusuf Danbayo, don confirm say na negligence from the driver cause the whole matter. E talk say, “Initial investigations show say the truck no allow the handbrake work properly, making the vehicle waka go freely.”
Na so dem truck come jam some people who dey near the spot, including one man wey dey do vigilante work and another passenger wey dem never identify. Dis heavy impact cause two casualties right there, while others dey receive treatment for Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe.
Dem take the two dead bodies go Specialist Hospital, Gombe. As e be, the driver don enter police custody for Tumfure Police Division. Dem dey plan to transfer am go Motor Traffic Department for further investigation and prosecution.
Gombe don see dis kind accident before o! Just last week, another wahala don happen for Benin–Asaba Highway wey carry eleven passengers go confirm say dem don die, with seven others injured as well. Nigerian road no dey safe at all!
