My people, e be like say dem don carry big wahala come court as EFCC don file motion to take final forfeiture of $13 million wey dem dey link to Aisha Achimugu own company, Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas Ltd. E be serious matter o!

Di matter dey go down for Federal High Court wey dey Abuja, and di judge wey dey handle di case na Justice Emeka Nwite. Dem don schedule di ruling for March 25, make we see wetin go happen after EFCC lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, and di company lawyer, Darlington Ozurumba, show dem side of di matter.

Last year, di court don give order for interim forfeiture of di $13 million wey di EFCC claim say na proceed wey come from illegal activities. Dem even tell di commission make dem publish di order for national newspaper, so anybody wey get interest fit show cause why di money no go belong to Federal Government for permanent.

As di matter dey hot, Oceangate don file affidavit wey show say dem get rightful ownership of di money and dem no gree accept EFCC talk say di funds na illegal. Dem talk say di money na legitimate earnings wey dem raise for di payment of signature bonuses for oil licences wey dem win in 2024, wetin dey call PPL 302 and PPL 3007.

But EFCC no wan hear word. Dem come dey present wetin dem find from investigation, talk say di $13 million dey trace back to unlawful sources. Dem even claim say some part of di money come from contractors wey dey work with Lagos State Government. E no go easy o, as dem dey open ground for serious accusations!

EFCC claim sey Oceangate dey act like briefcase company wey just dey hold oil-related assets wey dem acquire with funds wey dem suspect say na from illegal activities. Dem dey point finger say di modus operandi of di company na to use tainted funds to buy oil assets, na so dem dey label am.

For di other side, Oceangate dey hammer say dem no get any dealings with di companies wey EFCC dey mention, and dem even ask di court to set aside di interim forfeiture order wey dem don give dem already, say e dey breach di principle of fair hearing. Di fight dey hot as EFCC no wan back down.

Dem don bring plenty evidence, and di matter don gather momentum. All eyes dey on di court as we dey wait for di ruling on March 25. Hope say no go dey gree for anybody wey need make dem see di truth!
