Dem suspects wey DSS dey hold na Idris Omeiza (25), Al Qasim Idris (20), Jamiu Abdulmalik (26), Abdulhaleem Idris (25), and Momoh Otuho Abubakar (47). All of dem don plead say dem no guilty. Court dey pull out all the evidence wey go show wetin happen that day.
One of the witnesses wey dey call SSB come tell court as e see everything happen. He say as gunshots don start outside, people dey panic and try lock main door, but dem attackers come enter through side doors. E talk say explosions just dey burst around the church like movie.
The second witness wey be female, SSC, no fit hide her sorrow as she talk about how she nearly die. She say explosive dey drop near her when one of the gunmen dey ask, “Do you know why we are doing this?” She jam injuries for her left leg, wahala full ground as na four operations she don get.
Both witnesses don tell court say dem make statements for DSS office wey dey Akure on May 26, 2024. Evidence wey dem bring don shine light on the case, as court dey yarn say more witnesses go still come talk. DSS lawyer, Adedayo Adedipe (SAN), dey ready to bring another few witnesses wey go help clear the matter.
Justice Emeka Nwite don adjourn the case until January 14, 2026, because na serious case wey dey involve the safety of worshippers for Nigeria.
