Dr. Bode Ekundayo, wey be Coordinator for Movement for the Advancement of Akoko Edo People, confirm say dem don reunite with di families after dem pay di ‘huge’ ransom. E no fit talk how much dem pay, but I fit tell you say e no be small money!
On top di gist, di eighth person wey escape during di kidnapping dey for hospital dey recover, as per wetin Dr. Ekundayo yarn. E talk say di community dey sad about di whole matter but dem dey very happy say dem don bring back their own people. Dis na di kind spirit wey communities need – together we go fit achieve plenty!
Di royal father of Imoga, Oba Patrick Abudu, join di matter too as e gather everybody to celebrate as di victims don come back home. He say di community dey like festival mode as everybody waka go receive dem. He talk say, “I never see celebration like dis before for our community!” Na true talk be dat, wahala for street go turn to jolly jeers anytime wey people dey come back from kidsnap.

Make we no forget say di wahala start for January 9, when di victims dey lodge for Stay Boy Hotel wey dey for Imoga-Ibillo. Di hotel owner sef na Imoga indigene, but di problem no stop dia. Dem kidnappers demand di sum of N100 million for dem to free di victims, but after wahala and negotiation, dem reduce am to N40 million. Na serious game!
Di kidnappers even threaten to start killing di victims if dem no pay dem ransom. Dis na wetin dem dey call serious matter – dem mean business, no be play play.
Now wey di people don come back, all eyes go dey on wetin go happen next and how di community go find way to protect their own from dis kind wahala wey fit just take dem unawares again.
