Edo Students Protest: Dem Release AAU Students, Gist Full Ground

My people, e don happen for Edo State as dem don release some AAU students wey dem arrest last weekend during protest wey turn wahala. Dem dey call dis protest movement na the Comrade Association, and di Governor, Monday Okpebholo, don send him Education Commissioner, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, to make sure say di students wey no gree join dis violent side go free.

For Ubiaja Correctional Centre wey dem lock di students, Iyamu talk say true AAU students go dey free as e finish with all di paper work. Him talk say some bad boys wey be ex-students of di school na dem wey organize di protest wey turn violent. Una fit imagine dem carry Indomie and some items from di royal palace? Na wah o!

Current gist be say 38 students go dey released, as dem say e be dem no sabi di wahala wey don spoil. Iyamu talk say di whole protest na from people wey no dey Edo. Dem sabi how to scatter ground – stealing things and causing mischief no go help anybody.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan don come out to talk say dis kind arrest no dey proper at all. She dey reason say wahala like dis fit don’t give our youth bad vibe and make dem fear to speak out. She hammer on top say dialogue na di way forward, no be arrest. Na because of di plenty kidnapping and serious crime wey dey happen for di area, the youth dey vex and dem just wan make their voices heard.

She also encourage di Edo State Government to focus on di real wahala wey dey plague di community – all dis kidnappers and bad guys wey dey terrorize people. I dey tell you, if dem no fix di problem wey dey face citizens, na so di distance between di government and di people go dey widen more.

As di Governor don kalabash all dis matter, normal life don return to di university and dem don announce say school go resume on Monday. No be small matter! E mean say all di shakara wey dey bi don finish, we just dey hope say dem no go carry another wahala come again.

Make we keep our fingers crossed, my people, as we dey follow dis story closely. Di last last na say speak out, but make everything dey in order. No be by force, na by cooperation! If you dey carry wahala go palace or make am dey turn violent, e no go goo!
