Edo State Violence: Government Talk Say Na Foreigners Dey Sponsor Riot

The government don yan say na some Nigerians wey dey outside the country dey sponsor wetin dem call organized riot for Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area. Wetin we sabi be say dis matter don cause plenty gbas gbos as Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan don call for the release of students wey dem detain over this matter.

According to wetin the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Monday Okpebholo talk, dem don trace one of the people wey dey chop money for this riot to Russia. Yes o! Na so e be. Dem dey say this riot no be protest but na coordinated attack wey dem use foreign funds take organize am. Dem don catch some suspects wey dem believe dey plan more wahala for places like Auchi and even for Government House for Benin City.

The Edo State Government don yan say make we no believe all those social media talk wey show say na students dey protest. Dem talk say AAU no even dey in session at that time. No student dey for the school, so wetin dem dey talk? Those wey dem arrest, na true rioters and not peaceful protesters.

And if you dey check story wey dey fly for social media, dem even get one viral video wey dey claim say na kidnapping dey happen for Ekpoma. But the government don debunk that one too, talk say na part of the attempt to create fear and destroy dem image. Wetin dem dey try do? Dem dey suspect say na opposition wey get foreign backing dey try pull down the Edo government.

As for the people wey dey cry for fairness, Senator Natasha don talk say Nigeria need dialogue, not arrest. She don call for the immediate release of the 52 students wey dey languish in jail, saying how e no good to suppress youth voices. Na dem be the future of this country o!
