Omo, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, talk say Lagos fit waka pass 200,000 to 250,000 units of blood every year. But guess wetin? Last cycle, dem only manage collect about 141,000 units. Na about 70% of wetin we need. Abayomi no forget to call out everyone wey don gree donate and save life during emergencies. E even talk say blood na like liquid organ, and blood transfusion get serious protocols wey dey follow to avoid wahala!
Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, wey be Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, carry talk say blood na constant demand for this side, especially when dem get emergencies like childbirth wahala, car accidents, and surgeries. Dem dey revamp blood transfusion services sharply through digitisation and better tracking systems. This one go make sure say only safe blood dey available for patients wey need am.
