According to Saminu Abdullahi wey be Public Relations Officer for Kano State Fire Service, dem destroy seventeen tricycles wey dem sabi call Adaidaita Sahu, plus two petrol tankers wey dey carry fuel. Na for AA Ayagi Filling Station for Kanye village, along Gwarzo Road, na im the first fire start around 8:45pm. Dem say fire start while tanker dey offload petrol as wahala just burst.
Na so dem mobilize fire fighters from Rijiyar Zaki division as dem quickly rush go the scene. As dem reach, dem meet fuel tanker wey don catch fire wey dem sabi register as XPB 999 FA, wey dey belong to AA Ayagi Company. E no too long before the whole tanker jam fire as e dey offload perfume from the three compartments wey still dey for ground and e don already discharge two compartments into underground tank. E be like say the tanker no go see tomorrow again!
But no be only that one dem face dat night. Fire don condition dey disturb for Al-Wahida Nigeria Limited Filling Station for Nassarawa Local Government Area too. Na so fire don catch another petrol tanker wey dey carry about forty-five thousand litres of fuel. As dem dey offload, fire just show face, burn the truck head and part of the tanker body, plus those seventeen tricycles wey dey bihind. Chai, na wah o!
Saminu talk say, thank God no be everybody suffer damage, as dem successfully contain fire wey fit cause more trouble. Fire Service don advice filling station operators and tanker drivers make dem dey follow safety rules well well every time dem dey handle fuel or dey offload.
Meanwhile, for Kundila Quarters, wey dey near SALSA College, another fire don chop room, toilet, and corridor for residential building. E be like say na season of fires for this area, so make everybody take am serious!
As we dey talk, the Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Sani Anas, dey plea make people dey report fire incident sharp sharp so that dem no go lose life or property. Na wetin we fit do to safeguard ourselves and our neighbours!
