Abia State APC big man, Prince Paul Ikonne, don make clear say South-East don align with President Tinubu as dem prepare for 2027 election matter.
For him recent interview wey he do for TVC’s Politics Tonight, Ikonne yarn say dem no go fit accept anything less than serious vote show for Tinubu around dem side. According to am, if dem no fit gather around 70 to 90 percent for Tinubu, e go mean say dem no do well at all.
“Politics na numbers and structure, my people. If leader wey get crowd behind dem join hand, dem votes go follow,” he talk. He dey emphasize say na serious strategy dey work for APC to gather votes from not just South-East, but all Igbo areas for the country.
“Governor Hope Uzodinma dey lead the charge. E no dey only focus on South-East, but e don set full team wey dey waka up and down Nigeria, making sure sey all Igbo communities understand sey dem need to key into Tinubu’s plan for 2027,” Ikonne continue to explain.
He also talk say plenty PDP members don jump ship enter APC for Abia, constipating the party’s chances in the coming elections. He no dey leave Labour Party out of am too, as he dismiss their chances to challenge APC in the region.
“Our Governor Alex Otti, him dey minus one for this race. E no even fit follow Peter Obi enter ADC, him don come out. If Otti fit run with Obi, wetin happen? Why him no wan stay with him?” Ikonne dey ask. Otti wan ginger am with some plans, but e look like say e no get much ground to stand.
