Three days don pass since dem start all dis impeachment matter, but wetin be the latest? Our Governor never see any official notice from the House of Assembly. Na so one source wey no wan show face talk am. E come tell us say, ‘As e be, Fubara just land from trip, na church service he go, and he dey busy with ongoing projects for the state.’ Na true say this governor dey try, but e don catch fire for am o!
Meanwhile, some lawmakers wey dey follow the former governor, Nyesom Wike, don start to get second thoughts. Two of dem don pull out from the impeachment movement. Dem dey call their mates to temper justice with mercy – no be small thing o! Sylvanus Nwankwo, wey dey represent Omuma State Constituency, don sabi say elders don dey beg dem to find better way to settle this matter without wahala.
And wetin dey happen for the other side? Peter Abbey, wey also dey the House, don join the appeal for calm too. E talk say, ‘Even if Fubara don step on constitution matter small, we be human beings. Let’s find better way to handle this.’ My people, dis tori dey sweet like sugar. Even if government get police and army, dem need wisdom pass box!
Back to Wike self, he no even show face for Opobo/Nkoro wey na Fubara own local government area. E be like say he don dey dodge wahala. One APC chieftain from the area don talk say, ‘If na you dey inside dis kind tension, you go go Opobo?’ Wit no proper planning, Wike sabi say dem fit no greet am well for there!
For all dis plenty wahala wey dey happen, the Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum don set up committee to mediate and find solution. Na Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN) go lead the team. Dem talk say dem go call both sides, make everybody talk one-on-one and come to agreement. Na wetin we need now, as peace be sweet pass quarrel!
The elders wey dey for this reconciliation don beg both sides to comot their swords and settle dis matter before e turn blood for ground. Dem dey call for dialogue and understanding to see how everybody fit move forward. Na small-small wey we go make progress for dis Nigerian system wey dey vex everybody.
Pare this whole impeachment gist, e don turn to major national discussion as people dey wonder if dem fit really resolve this matter without scatter! But make fast move dey happen, we go like see how dem go handle am before e turn serious matter wey go fall out everywhere.
