This titanic clash na between the current Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the former big boss wey wear the FCT Minister cap, Nyesom Wike. Wetin we dey see na a political fight wey dey scatter the state, just like say dem dey play hot football for stadium!
Na since late 2023 this wahala begin, as governor Fubara and Wike dem dey drag control of the Rivers political landscape. Koko of the matter, na the Rivers State House of Assembly wey dey led by Martin Amaewhule. Dem don start impeachment process wey don shock many Nigerians.
First, since wey tin start for October 2023, e dey look like say na just small skirmish wey go resolve, but as we dey enter January 2026, e be like say na full-blown war! Na hot gas wey don dey bubble under the surface!
Once upon a time, Fubara na Wike pikin wey Wike believe go carry the party flag, but now na that same Fubara wey he don turn against am. Dem accuse Fubara of everything from bomb the Assembly Complex to refuse to present budget. E be like say dem wan give am d ‘kick-out’ style!
On top all this palava, we fit remember say the President, Bola Tinubu, don intervene before but e no make sense as the wahala don resurface like bad smell. Many people don surprised as dem think say peace go don reign like king!
But no, House of Assembly don come with serious allegations against Fubara, including how e dey spend money anyhow! Them sabi the matter well because dem don even find Fubara dey collect money from people for appointments! E be like say Fubara don chop belleful, and now dem wan bring am down!
The impeachment notice don fly up like anger, and the Assembly don serve am within seven days as constitution talk am. Na so e be! As the speaker talk, Fubara dey act like say e get power, but now, everybody dey watch am!
Plus, all these drama dey happen for Port Harcourt wey be the state capital, and the tension dey heavy like compound water! Wike don even dey shape matters from behind like puppeteer, wey dey pull string!
As e be now, the impeachment process dey on course, and nobody fit cover the repetepe wey dey happen. As the people of Rivers dey hope for the best, we go dey watch which way the wind go blow!
